Precision Application ISOBUS / Task Controller Software Engineer

As a Precision Application ISOBUS / Task Controller Software Engineer, you will support the design of timely, efficient and cost effective embedded electrical solutions for ISOBUS 11783, Task Controller, Virtual Terminal, Data Management, File server and peer-to-peer applications. This position is responsible to develop software and ensure the integrated software package meets Vehicle Platform needs and timing.


  • Collaborate with other teams to review and approve product and vehicle requirements
  • Developing solutions specific to precision farming applications that use ISOBus, Virtual Terminal / Universal Terminal and Task Controller
  • Development of C, C++ or Java applications.
  • Unit Testing and performance checking of all software.
  • Perform software integration testing
  • Use of SW development tools for version control, reviews and continuous integration.
  • Develop effort and timing estimates for software features.
  • Verify solutions meet requirements and assist in integration into product.
  • Lead root cause investigation using sound engineering principles, practices and judgment pertaining to specific engineering problems.



The qualified candidate will have:


  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years product development experience
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in requirements definition and documentation
  • Minimum 6 years of experience working with ISOBUS/VT/UT and Task controller applications


The ideal candidate will have:


  • Experience using open source development tools such as Git (version control), Gerrit (code reviews), or Jenkins (Continuous Integration).
  • Understanding of Design Patterns (e.g. MVC - Model-View-Controller).
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP networking protocols and Sockets programming.
  • Experience using V-Model and/or Agile (e.g. Scrum) software development processes.
  • Experience in product definition and development of complex systems preferably for on-road, off-road vehicle or automotive systems engineering experience
  • Precision Farming product development experience
  • Experience with Vehicle communication networks for on-road and off-road electrical architectures, including network analysis tools like CANAlyzer, CANoe.
  • Experience using Matlab for product development
  • Knowledgeable with virtual prototyping, MIL, SIL and HIL principles
  • Demonstrated Experience as Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and organization skills
