The Ergonomics (Human Factor) Engineer is involved in supporting all aspects of internal- external design of components that have an interface with operators, using the 3D modeling simulation to study human comfort, as visibility, roominess, reachability of controls and serviceability. This Ergonomics Engineer will ensure that designs and models are developed and analyzed accordingly considering human needs and make sure developed model meets all essential standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Analyze 3D models designed for engineering/cab purposes, from ergonomic point of view.

Generate simple analysis with different sized virtual manikins and make sure cab and exterior components meet performance specifications and targets, using Virtual Manikin analysis programs, but also internal procedures.

Create Human virtual scene with all internal and external components, simulating the human behaviors with respect to realistic operators' actions, and checks human performance like visibility, roominess, reachability of controls and human force acceptance, in objective way

Monitor all product development, from benchmarking initial phase, trough design activities to final validation, and propose technical solution based on analysis results for developing an optimal ergonomic design.

Give support in HMI -- UX/UI (display graphics, symbols definitions, components haptics and feelings) and, in initial phases of a new cab project, give support to generate an overview of all possible activities of the project

Execute tests with real users in way to analyze human performance related to measurable characteristics

Write reports for summarizing the analysis results

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have experience with the following:

 

BS Ergonomics, Human Factors, Biomechanics, Kinesiology or related human science. (Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering acceptable with the appropriate experience in ergonomics / usability)

 

6 plus years' combined experience; working with qualitative and quantitative user- centered research, virtual evaluation techniques with emphasis in digital human modeling CAD (Siemens Jack or Human Solutions RAMSIS,) and cognitive ergonomic, UX/UI, HMI for graphics and symbols

 

3 years' experience working with Machine design and components functionalities


The preferred candidate will have experience with the following:

 

Master's degree highly desired

 

Knowledge in using a variety of engineering CAD software like Creo, UGs, Catia, Rhinoceros, Teamcenter, VisMockup Ability to manage a large number of activities

 

Knowledge of ISO and SAE standards for Human Comfort

 

Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.

 

Previous experience working in a global setting with multiple sites highly preferred.

 

Strong analysis skills with a focus on attention to detail

 

Experience with Agricultural and Construction Equipment products highly desired

 

Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Project)
