The Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Mechanical Parts manages the purchase of production and service parts and materials within an assigned section or group of commodities and suppliers. This position will be responsible for supporting/driving strategic direction, negotiations, and supporting purchasing metrics and overall organizational objectives. Will drive, forecast and report economic savings performance, negotiates price reductions, increases and long-term agreements, market test, to maximize leverage, and analyze various reports to capture opportunities. Will support special projects as necessary to assist in delivering commodity goals.
Lead supplier evaluation, selection, and sourcing for assigned Mechanical commodities for NAFTA Parts and Service operations. Leads and or supports regional and global sourcing projects by working closely with the Production Purchasing and Engineering teams, along with Parts and Service Materials Planning and Engineering teams.
