The Project Lead Engineer for CCH Tractors is responsible for assigned engineering projects including key design and development deliverables to meet Platform and Brand project objectives. Duties include ownership and management of the total engineering project budget, coordination of engineering deliverables, measurement of team performance against KPI's, and communication of updates to the Chief Engineer, Platform Program Manager, C&LT Director, Brands, and others as required.


Create the engineering project plan and use it to manage project delivery


Own the engineering project objectives and deliverables including engineering project budget


Communicate engineering project status and coordinate with the platform program manager


Manage the engineering deliverables of the CNH Industrial Global Product Development process


Coordinate activities with the platform program manager to meet project budget, timing and schedule.


Responsible for full project life cycle.


Develop program requirements with chief engineer, engineering technical managers and shared services managers, as required, to align with the Product Line Platform and Brand requirements.


Coordinate with engineering technical managers and shared services managers to create and execute workforce plans that meet engineering project deliverables.


Responsible for generating engineering concepts to define functional and performance requirements that meet product line objectives.


Work collaboratively with product validation team to meet program quality and robustness targets


Keeps informed of engineering and agricultural technological developments, and evolving field practices through field contacts, attending meetings and maintaining membership in technical societies.




Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, agricultural, automotive and/or electrical disciplines.


6 plus years work experience in engineering discipline


6 plus years work experience with cross-functional team collaboration


3 plus years of work experience managing product development schedules and budgets


Must have the ability to travel approximately 10%.


Preferred Qualifications:


The ideal Candidate will have:


Industry knowledge in farming applications, agronomic practices and general farm machinery operation.


Strong time and priority management with ability to manage a large number of activities.


Ability to set clear objectives and deliverables.


Ability to work with a cross functional team and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, outside suppliers, and management.


Ability to influence others, regardless of position or organizational boundaries


Ability to hold others accountable


Strong written and oral communication skills


Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to drive projects to completion


Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)


General knowledge of basic Ag tractor &/or off road vehicle design and operation.


Working knowledge of general computer applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
