Overview of Position

Provides leadership and direction to the Large Tractor product development teams in setting and achieving program objectives from timing, cost, quality, manufacturability and customer satisfaction for the development and launch of Large Tractors.



Embedded within the Platform, but representing the cross-functional Platform teams, the Program Manager drives a consistent process and set of tools to effectively manage complex programs, strengthen accountability for tactical program execution and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire product development process. You will support and guide the product development team in initiating, planning, and executing programs and improvement initiatives through the product lifecycle. You will serve as a teacher and leader to multiple functional areas. This position reports to the platform manager but will work directly with the product development team and stakeholders to guide them through methodology for defining scope, developing schedule/timeline, risk assessment/mitigation and ensuring accountability for program delivery.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Program/Project Management, or Business Administration

8 plus years in program management

6 plus years in product development

4 plus years of experience evaluating portfolio and program Return-on-Investment and Risks

4 plus years of experience managing customer requirements, risk management and resource planning

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have experience with the following:

Strong and effective leadership with the ability to manage and influence results of team members who are not direct reports in order to achieve overall program requirements.

Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently and be a team player in a cross functional team.

Written and oral communication skills with ability to manage conversations and present across organization levels

Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Computer skills using standard business software (including MS Office programs)

Leading by influencing across organization levels and boundaries and hold others accountable

Strong conflict resolution and change management principles and practices

Collaborating with customers, suppliers, and internal functions including commercial, marketing, finance, manufacturing, and engineering

Lean product development/Agile/Scrum methodologies for vehicle and/or software

Innovation and new product portfolio prioritization and management

Strategic marketing approach in defining customer needs, customer value, and value proposition leading to commercialization strategy

System engineering approach and requirement management methods and tools

PMP Certification is a plus

Experience in leading a global product development program with diverse cultures and physical locations.
