The Product Validation Manager is responsible for all validation activity required to support the product development process, programs and activity for the Compact & Large Tractor Product Line. This role liaises with the Tractor Chief Engineers and Design Analysis & Simulation leader as well as the Product Validation Managers from PS&T and Implements to ensure validation of the full customer end to end experience meets customer use expectations and product performance, durability and reliability are met.
Establish a best in-class test and validation function that implements and innovates from industry best practices.
Develops and maintains customer application use matrices. Knows how our customers use and operate the tractor, implement and precision technology and incorporates this knowledge into validation plans and acceptance criteria.
Interfaces with engineers, product management, suppliers and customers to develop product requirement acceptance specifications.
Ensures correct translation of customer demands in products and services with product management, engineering and other related disciplines.
Ensure accountability to schedule deliverables and technical accuracy across Validation Team.
Drive best practices and continuous improvement in processes and tools
Provide technical leadership to Validation Engineers on their work
Coordinate and prioritize validation engineering work among the Validation Engineering team.
Review and approve engineering test results and reports from the team
Interface with internal engineering groups for workload and resource scheduling
Provide budgeting forecasts for people and testing, internal and external, to support DVP&Rs
Conduct employee performance reviews and facilitate/support employee career development
Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
10 plus years' experience in product validation or product development
5 plus years of experience working in various disciplines of off-road vehicles. For example, mechanical, hydraulic and/or integration of vehicle systems
5 plus years of experience in a leadership role

Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional global, remote teams
Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) issues, problems, and observations of work being performed AND plan to resolve opportunities including putting processes in place to ensure they don’t happen again
Ability to work with minimal supervision managing multiple projects and tasks
Proven communication skills across multiple levels and work groups
Agricultural, construction, automotive or similar background preferred.
Experience in a lab environment with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation.
Vector CANalyzer, MatLab, Simulink, LabVIEW, INCA, Greenhill, PLC and VeSys experience
Ability to demonstrate good computer skills with Word, Excel, MSOffice suite.
