This position is responsible for the Development of hydraulic systems & components for electrified Ag & CE vehicles. A new team is being created which provides cross-functional expertise to vehicle engineering teams for the development meeting vehicle performance, cost, quality and manufacturing requirements.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to technology development of electrified vehicles
  • Contributes to technology leadership position of CNHi
  • Develops hydraulic systems & components for electrified mobile applications for Ag- and CE-Vehicles
  • Investigates new technologies, creates technology road maps and supports advanced developments
  • Creates engineering and performance specifications for systems and components and works closely with suppliers and product validation during the development and validation phase
  • Provides component expertise to engineering teams and develops company standards for cross-functional components
  • Participates in system & component design reviews, DFMEA and functional safety reviews
  • Creates hydraulic schematics and uses simulation tools (Automation Studio, Matlab Simulink, AmeSim etc.) early in the development process

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilties:

  • Develops hydraulic systems & components for electrified mobile applications for Ag- and CE-Vehicles
  • Investigates new technologies, creates technology road maps and supports advanced developments
  • Creates engineering and performance specifications for systems and components and works closely with suppliers and product validation during the development and validation phase
  • Provides component expertise to engineering teams and develops company standards for cross-functional components
  • Participates in system & component design reviews, DFMEA and functional safety reviews
  • Creates hydraulic schematics and uses simulation tools (Automation Studio, Matlab Simulink, AmeSim etc.) early in the development process
  • Utilizes CAD, Matlab/Simulink and other relevant software to develop system and components

Job Specifications:

  • Creates robust component designs to meet vehicle requirements using computer aided design tools and calculations as required
  • Analyzes current hydraulic designs to improve margin and quality or to increase features / performance
  • Encourages new and innovative design concepts, inventions, patents and opportunities for improvement
  • Creates robust design standards to drive standardization across platforms

Communication:

  • Provides recommendations and updates to direct manager and team members
  • Communicates with cross functional groups within platform, product engineering and product validation
  • Communicates with cross functional groups within quality, manufacturing, purchasing or groups
  • Communicates with suppliers

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience with 3D-CAD-software, simulation software (Matlab/Simulink, AmeSim, Automation Studio), BoM systems and standard MS-office software
  • 3+ years of experience working on hydraulic systems, components, & controls design for mobile off-highway applications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with CREO
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Experience in managing teams, good leadership skills
  • Self-starter with independent thinking, able to work under minimal supervision
  • Good communication skills in English (written and verbal), also with people who don't have English as a first language
  • Good understanding of hydraulic system & component design, including electro-hydraulic systems & controls
