We are actively seeking a Facilities Supervisor to join our team in Fargo, ND. The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds of an organization, directing staff and overseeing the upkeep of equipment and supplies. This individual ensures the buildings and grounds are maintained, which entails daily and weekly cleaning schedules as well as determining and scheduling repairs, renovation projects, waste reduction improvements and safety inspections. In addition, the Facilities Supervisor is in charge of a budget and must negotiate with outside vendors for supplies, repairs and other measures. He or she will oversee groundskeepers and custodial staff.



Responsibilities include:

Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements

Conduct and document regular facilities inspections

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes

Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency

Coordinate intra-office moves

Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment

Oversee facility refurbishment and renovations

Plan and manage facility central services such as reception, security, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and parking

Implement best practice processes to increase efficiency

Obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers

Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness

Negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost saving

Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers

Manage contractor and vendor relationships

Manage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met

Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met

Check completed work by contractors and vendors

Verify payment and invoicing match contract pricing

Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels

Ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff

Performance manage, develop and train staff

Prepare and track facility budget

Monitor expenses and payments

Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases

Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives

Advise on and monitor energy efficiency

Oversee environmental health and safety

Assure security of the facility

Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures

Provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants

Works closely with the Safety and Environmental groups to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations

Reviews the operations of the manufacturing site to identify deficiencies in equipment and processes around energy usage and makes recommendations to improve productivity and lower energy costs

Reviews and makes decisions on engineering project plans prepared by outside consultants for conformance to CNH standards and specifications; prepares a variety of technical facilities engineering reports and analyses for presentation to management


The qualified candidate will have:

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline OR Associate's degree plus 3 or more years of Facilities Management experience


The ideal candidate will have:

Excellent computer skills, with strong Excel skills 

WCM experience is strongly preferred

Strong organizational and time management skills

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
