We are currently seeking a Logistics Engineer to join our team in Fargo. In this role, you will be responsible for material and information flow design, warehouse-logistics material flow, and production control and logistics. In addition, you will develop, support and implement Lean Enterprise-World Class Manufacturing processes.


Responsibilities include:

Lead Lean Enterprise-WCM (continuous improvement) projects in the various areas across the Fargo Plant

Manage advanced and major Kaizen projects associated with logistics functions within the Fargo Plant. This includes project selection, justification, planning, training, execution, and project reporting. Must be able to act quickly to lead, develop, and implement solutions in cooperation with plant Kaizen teams.

Help to standardize material and information flow planning processes. Create, develop and implement standardized processes and converting data into usable information.

Drive process/ flow optimization (from supplier to line)

Evaluate process changes (actual and projected) in terms of logistics cost

Ensure delivery of project targets for logistics improvement projects.


The qualified candidate will have:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or other technical discipline

OR Associate's degree in a technical discipline plus 3 or more years of logistics improvement/logistics engineering experience

OR High school diploma/GED plus 5 or more years of logistics improvement/logistics engineering experience


The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor's degree with Supply Chain Management project experience

Strong leadership/interpersonal skills

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills, self-starter with an ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment

Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio and Project

Working knowledge of WCM/Lean Cost Deployment Methods

Material Planning/PFEP

Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)

MRP/ERP/WMS Operating systems

Union environment experience

Packaging/container management

Lean-Six Sigma black belt

AutoCAD proficient
