This position will be for the validation specialist and field team manager supporting the Harvesting platform for combines, headers, cotton, and sugar cane products based in Mount Joy, IA site.  The position will be responsible for management and execution of integrated validation plans (IVP) for new product development and current product management (CPM).  The role will manage a small team which supports vehicle field test, test labs, and shop builds. The role will include scheduling, budgeting, test cost estimation, functional consultation, product benchmarking  and the management of test requests (TRs) and product integrity reports (PIRs).  In addition, this position will also be responsible for assigned capital assets, product test equipment inventory and new investments.


This position is responsible for the performance, validation and verification of CNHi
Harvesting products including combines, headers, cotton, and sugar cane products.  Represent product validation within the platform core team and advocate platform requirements to the validation support services.


Responsible for leadership into new technology advancements and determination of how they can be applied to validation cost, quality and timing.   This role will help the team evolve into the digitally connected and high technology future to validated components, system and vehicles with efficiency and quality safeguards.


Responsible for leadership to develop Harvesting products towards being best-in-class functional performance, reliability and automation technology.


Responsible for managing a team to prepare, organize and submit timely and concise reports which include both executive level and technical level component and/or sub-system performance, reliability, and durability metrics.  Maintain accurate and comprehensive test records for reference and analysis.


Responsible for basic budgeting (individual test requests and group CAPEX), test request assignment and scheduling supporting platform IVP and CPM activities.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Agricultural, Electrical, Mechanical or similar)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in an engineering capacity supporting product development or product validation
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in leading and coordinating a small cross functional team
  • Technical experience in mechanical, hydraulic and electronic systems
  • Ability to travel up to 10% Domestic and/or International

Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Agricultural, construction, automotive product development or similar background
  • Operational experience with agricultural or construction equipment
  • Knowledge of harvesting products and end user applications
  • Project management experience or training
  • Global work experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good computer skills with MSOffice suite, SharePoint and database applications
  • The ability to manage and execute tasks with minimal supervision and quickly learn new tools and techniques as required
