New Product Quality Leader - Large & Compact Tractors

The New Product Quality Large and Compact Leader will lead a team of Quality Specialists focused on new programs across the product line and current product Compact Tractor activity. Primary focus will be to support and lead the New Product Quality & Reliability Engineering specialists utilizing various sources of customer data to define quality requirements following through to Early Warning Team. Additional focus leading Compact Tractor Quality and supplier relationship as it relates to product behavior.


Assure product quality during new launches within the Large and Compact GPL organization through adherence to the GPD Milestones. Advocate on behalf the customer and your team to primarily the Platform and Plant Managers.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


New Product Quality:


Champion the quality actions required in each phase of the Global Product Development (GPD) Process. During the GPD phases, provide Quality Status Reports with Global Product Line (GPL) Leadership Prior to Milestone Reviews. Timely escalations to critical situations with a prior assessment of potential alternatives.


Ensure Quality deliverables are met for each milestone per the program definition and all risks have been properly identified utilizing standardized risk tools in Global Product Development (GPD).


Develop and drive quality requirements definition in the early phases of GPD programs utilizing lessons learned from previous Early Warning Team (EWT), customer usage data and other sources of feedback.


Align quality and reliability targets for each project with Platform Managers to ensure objectives are achievable at OKTS.


Support Reliability Growth Process and Proactive Activities Plan and other test methods. Ensure the alignment of the Engineering Test Plan and Design Validation Plan with Product Development (PD) and Product Validation (PV) to confirm content of the plan meets desired outcomes.


Participate in developing robust and verifiable product requirements documents with the Product Marketing and Platform Manager for each project.


Compact Tractor Quality:


Lead the prioritize of field issues considering customer safety, downtime, frequency, cost, fitness for use. Support and drive root cause analysis and problem-solving activities with escalation of the most critical items.


Manage the follow-up of the closure of the items, keeping the action owners of the EWT/CPM teams accountable.


Support collection of field data (ASIST reports, field visits, returned failed parts, warranty reports)


Deliver the Compact Tractor New Product Quality Objectives


Candidate must be open to international travel on occasion if needed.




Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field


8 plus years of experience in Quality, Product Validation or Engineering role supporting agricultural, construction, automotive and/or heavy equipment.


Preferred Qualifications:


The ideal candidate will have:


Experience leading a team and/or influencing others to a common goal.


Deep understanding and experience with reliability methods, problem solving tools, and product development processes.


3 years of experience with New Product Development obtained in Engineering, Validation or Quality function.


Technical knowledge in heavy equipment industries and vehicles systems


Master's Degree or Quality Certification


Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools, reliability and statistical analysis software.


Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) issues, problems, and observations of work being performed.


Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams
