We are actively seeking a Shop Planner/Scheduler to join our manufacturing team in Racine.  

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan manufacturing orders from the master production schedule for three shift grey iron machine shop. 
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment by adhering and enforcing CNH Industrial safety programs, policies and regulations
  • Efficiently and optimally schedule three shift machine shop to meet customer order requirements, by means of capacity planning e.g. the systematic planning and release of manufacturing work orders. 
  • Schedule, contact and expedite parts from internal work centers.
  • Work with Production Supervisors across three shifts to develop and implement contingency plans when necessary and keep management informed of actions being taken. 
  • Perform lot sizing and load leveling solutions to achieve efficient and effective workflow, minimize material handling, and reduce total costs. Identify capacity constraints and recommend contingency plans in a timely manner to address to minimize impact to production schedule. 
  • Analyze and resolve critical planning issues in order to meet the production schedule, quality, inventory, cost and delivery objectives. 
  • Close completed orders accurately and timely to reflect credible data, satisfy data collection requirements, measures and performance reporting
  • Apply information system tools to maintain part number data-element integrity within the plant's planning information system databases. 
  • Analyze and correct, or facilitate the correction of, discrepancies, paperwork or inventory problems to maintain parts flow and improve inventory accuracy
  • Collaborate closely with various departments to ensure timely execution of new product launches in parallel with current production. 
  • Initiates and supports continuous improvement of operational processes and support activities

 

Annual Salary for this position is $60,000.00 - $87,000.00 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

 

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:

  • Associates degree, and 3+ years of experience in production planning
  • OR High school diploma/GED and 5+ years of experience in production planning

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Production planning experience in a CNC Machine shop
  • Knowledge of scheduling, rates of production, machines, tooling, set-ups, unit variations, orders and speed of operations, capacity planning
