CNH Industrial is building the next generation of connected vehicles and equipment, which will create new experiences and make our products smarter.  To defend and secure our broad technical environment we are seeking an experienced and passionate Operational Technology (OT) Security Architect.  The candidate will be a seasoned security professional with a berth and depth of related experiences.

 

This is an opportunity to join an architecture practice and drive security for operational technologies, technologies that support plant operations, and manufacturing equipment that enable delivery of CNH vehicles, equipment, and products.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leadership and business partners to perform cybersecurity risk assessments of Operational Technology, identify security gaps, translate gaps into actionable plans or mitigation steps, and oversee execution of security related projects
  • Apply knowledge of Cyber Physical Systems, Operational Technology, Industrial Control Systems, Internet of Things, Industrial Internet of Things, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition security architecting principals to evolve current security architectures that are cost effective and meet business needs
  • Conduct effective security architecture reviews, ensuring that designs achieve the desired security requirements, scalability, and resilience
  • Produce and maintain security architecture documents establishing the operational, system and technical views of Operational Technology security architecture including all the significant areas relative to cyber defense
  • Employ knowledge of operational technology applications, industry standards/requirements, and industry best practices relating to cyber-physical systems to provide expert support, analysis, research, and advice into complex cyber security problems, and processes
  • Create both short and long-term security technology roadmaps and strategies, making assertions about technology directions in partnership with product and other stakeholder teams. Communicate technical direction to engineering community and work with tech leads to communicate technical direction
  • Identify industry trends, opportunities, and security gaps; help convert these needs and gaps into technical requirements and security strategy roadmaps
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for spending and initiatives
  • This position has a salary range of $83,000 to $120,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in technology-related field, or equivalent work- or education-related experience
  • Professional security management certification, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other similar credentials
  • 3+ years of experience in cyber security roles, with background in security architecture, engineering and cyber defense of Cyber Physical, Operational Technology, Industrial Control Systems, Internet of Things, Industrial Internet of Things, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition
  • 3+ years of experience with common information security management frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT, IEC 62443/ISA 99, C2M2 as well as those from NIST, including 800-53, 800-82, and Cybersecurity Framework
  • 3+ years of experience with operational technology network monitoring including serial, ethernet, wireless, and OT specific protocols (BACnet, DNP3, Modbus, Siemens S7, HART, etc.)
  • 2+ years in developing security architectures and performing threat modeling assessments using frameworks such as the MITRE ATT&CK framework
