The Hydraulics Systems and Application Engineer is a key role responsible for hydraulic system design and integration. This position will support current product and next generation equipment.


  • Working within the Round Baler and Small Square Baler Platform team, you will research, design, and develop hydraulic systems and applications. Be responsible for the release of timely, efficient, and cost-effective agricultural equipment, assigned subsystems, and projects.
  • Specify, design, develop, and coordinate core vehicle hydraulic and mechanical components and/or subsystems. Activities will be consistent with program objectives, including design concepts, prototype build support, field validation, and product launches.
  • Conduct design analysis of hydraulic systems, components, verify new requirements, and specifications. Design, draw, and detail hydraulic and mechanical designs in Creo, participate in design reviews, safety analysis and DFMEA’s, support development of validation plans through test specification.
  • Collaborate with hydraulic competency group and other company functions including product engineering, purchasing, quality, validation, and manufacturing to ensure design align with best practices, standards, specifications, and meet customer requirements.
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives on current products and quality improvement through warranty and failure analysis.
  • This position pays $83,000 to $120,000. (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)


The qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or similar field.
  • 3 plus years relevant product development experience with a focus on hydraulic and mechanical components and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and circuits

The preferred candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to use Automation Studio or other software packages to create and modify hydraulic schematics
  • Prefer previous experience with CREO, CREO Piping, and Team Center.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%
