CNH Industrial is building the next generation connected vehicles and equipment that will light up new experiences and make our products smarter.We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Database Solutions Engineer.


The CNHi Connected Machine Applications (CMA) team is responsible for managing the global data footprint for geospatial agriculture data for our customers. We are searching for a strong leader with a vision for managing multi-terabyte storage systems.  An ideal candidate would have a proven history working not only with database systems but as well interacting with software engineering teams to build out access infrastructure such as stored procedures, entity framework access and similar patterns to support RESTful API interactions.    



  • Collaborate with existing teams to assess current data storage systems and architecture, identify improvement opportunities, develop the proposed architecture and roadmap to implement
  • Build new solutions and lead migration of existing storage platform to a scalable data storage architecture ensuring scalability, high availability, fault tolerance and elasticity
  • Architect, design and implement high performance large-volume data persistence in Azure
  • Lead discussion and implementation of any migration necessary to any new storage systems
  • Ensure all storage systems are engineered for redundancy and DR
  • Expertise in engineering and maintaining high performance tuning of database performance
  • Mentor a rapidly growing team

This position pays: $117,000 - $179,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience various database technologies including Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Citus, etc.
  • Hands on, end to end experience developing N-Tier applications, SaaS
  • Familiar with Microservice storage techniques
  • Hands on experience managing multi-terabyte database systems
  • Experience in growing and managing a cloud-based data team working remotely
  • Deep experience tuning database systems for optimum performance
  • Experience managing dense spatial data


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Microsoft Azure Database Administrator
  • 10+ years of agriculture domain experience
  • GIS Degree or similar work experience
  • Knowledge of NoSQL technologies, e.g. Azure Cosmo DB, HBase, Hive, etc.
