Responsibilities

In Precision Technology, we make iron smarter.  Our team members deliver innovative solutions helping our customers to be more productive, save time, lower costs, and to operate sustainably.  From vehicle displays, application controls, steering solutions, digital services and telematics, to fully autonomous driverless technology, we develop solutions that solve challenges for customers around the world. 

 

To bring these products to market, we are seeking a seasoned Automation & Autonomy Portfolio Lead to drive the vision, strategy, and product roadmap to deliver innovative solutions for a given step of the farming system:  Soil Preparation, Seeding/Planting, Spraying/Spreading, or Harvest.

  • Work across platforms, products and teams to define, prioritize, and communicate the automation & autonomy solution roadmap.
  • Take an end-to-end systems approach to deeply understand customer needs and create innovative solutions that deliver customer value and a seamless experience through a common, modular, scalable tech stack.
  • Define product and program objectives with outcome metrics to deliver quantifiable customer and business results.
  • Develop new product program business cases to assess customer value proposition, cost-benefit-risk analysis, and set business priorities.
  • Facilitate product portfolio prioritization, funding, budgeting, resource allocation, and trade-off decisions to successfully deliver the roadmap.
  • Provide development teams with customer, market, and competitive insights to maximize their velocity in delivering customer value.
  • Identify new technology needs and collaborate with advanced engineering teams to feed the innovation pipeline, rapidly maturing new technologies through continuous iterative development with customer feedback loops.
  • Ensure successful program execution by coordinating across internal and external stakeholders to remove roadblocks and mitigate risks.
  • Support the organization with strategy development, new business models, go-to-market approaches, partnering relationships, and business planning.

Position Pays $101,000 to $155,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field (MBA or graduate degree a plus).
  • 8+ years of experience in product development, product management, and/or program management.
  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products.
