The future of off-highway vehicles involves increased electronic control to deliver the performance improvements and product automation required by the end customer. 

CNH Industrial is looking for expert support to reinforce the Vehicle Architecture and Networks team with attention to these important aspects. As such, we are currently seeking an experienced Systems Architect to join our team in the United States.


The Systems Architect will join the Systems Engineering team in supporting the transformation to Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for the Precision Electronics and Embedded Systems organization. You will use your knowledge of Systems Engineering processes, methods, and tools to help develop and implement MBSE solutions for Agriculture and Construction Equipment vehicles. The Systems Architect will engage with other systems engineers to assist them in developing Systems Engineering work products such as system specifications, architecture descriptions, model diagrams, logically derived and linked requirements, and interface requirements.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform system analysis of alternative design solutions to enable down selection of flexible and scalable system architectures (physical, functional and logical) for the Precision Electronics and Embedded Systems department
  • Develop system architecture standards and approaches in collaboration with software and hardware.
  • Perform functional analysis of telematics, auto guidance and display system requirements.
  • Decompose requirements and allocate using functional and logical models.
  • Document and maintain architecture definitions for Agriculture and Construction vehicle platforms.
  • Apply systems engineering processes, methods and MBSE tools over the entire project life cycle for Agriculture and Construction Equipment vehicle platforms.
  • Ensure efficiency of MBSE tool (e.g., Enterprise Architect, Capella) with Polarion Requirements Management tool and that these tools support an overarching approach.
  • Travel up to 10%, domestically and internationally

This position pays:83,000-120,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)


Qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Agricultural, Systems or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Intermediate  experience using modeling methods and tools to model complex systems using SysML
  • Broad systems engineering experience (e.g., system architecture and design, system requirements, system verification)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experienceworking in systems engineering for mission-critical products using MBSE.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer requirements and use cases into technical solutions while optimizing cost, manufacturability and serviceability
  • Experience developing processes and workflows related to architecture and systems engineering


The ideal candidate will have these preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering
  • INCOSE Certification
  • Minimum 5 years of product development and systems engineering experience
  • Vehicle or automotive engineering experience related to system development, integration, and verification testing.
  • Experience with MBSE tools using System Modeling Language (SysML).
  • Experience with agile workflow, JIRA, Polarion and related requirements management tools.
