Responsibilities

Duties: The Display Software Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Burr Ridge, Illinois will be responsible for developing Java and C++ applications on vehicle displays used on Agriculture and Construction equipment. The responsibilities includes designing, implementing and maintaining Vehicle Application software for Agriculture and Construction equipment displays; following and improving software development processes; driving application performance and memory improvements; performing root cause analysis for software issues internally and externally; participating in code reviews; designing and executing unit tests; estimating effort for software deliverables; assisting with defining application requirements and evaluating technical feasibility of application implementation; and contributing to innovative ideas to improve display software.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a directly related field, plus two years of experience designing and developing display software for Automotive or Commercial Vehicle experience. Experience must include two years of experience with each of the following: (1) software application development experience that includes Java or C++ programming; (2) object oriented software development; (3) designing, implementing and testing display software including troubleshooting and correcting software issues; (4) software refactoring (5) native programming in C++; (6) automotive networking protocols such including J1939, CAN; (7) experience with multiple source code repository management tools like GIT; and (8) experience with software development processes like V-Model or Agile.
