Logistics specialist - Air & Ocean is accountable for Air & Ocean logistics services in NAFTA Region. Position supports NAFTA Air/Ocean Mgr, with focus on operations and contract support.  As the SeniorLogistics Specialist, you will manage air, ocean and forwarding carrier performance through weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Additionally, you will provide data analysis and global bid/tender analytics to support key projects/savings initiatives on a regular basis. You will be the key contact for spot quote analysis, invoice audit support while resolving operational challenges that arise.  This position supports the NAFTA Air & Ocean Contracting Manager and is the key liaison between the air/ocean freight market and CNH’s internal operational teams.

 

This position is eligible for HYBRID flexible work arrangements with the ideal candidate being located in or near New Holland, PA!

Responsibilities

  • Support NAFTA Operations team with any contract related items (on-time performance, additional costs, capacity, visibility, container diversions, etc)
  • Support NAFTA Freight Audit team when invoices don’t match contract rates and new lanes need to be negotiated
  • Support WMF Activities (forwarding instructions, rate structure, invoice requirements, etc)
  • Support global managed RFQ’s for Air Freight and Sea Freight (containers and RoRo)
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations
  • Analyze Quotations received, negotiate rate/service level improvements and create award strategy
  • Launch, validate and implement cost savings project impacting NAFTA budget
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with Logistics Procedures
  • Take an active role in Carrier Negotiations and NAFTA Global Air/Ocean Strategies

Annual Base Salary Range for this position is $71,000 - $102,000 USD  (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering
  • 3+ years experience in negotiation, procurement or logistics operations.  Preference will be given to experience earned in automotive or logistics industry with focus on air or ocean freight.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • 1+ year direct use experience with ERP/MRP system and/or SAP
