The Driveline Engineer will be involved with the design and support of power transmission systems, gearboxes, and components for Combine Harvesting Equipment. Involves analytical, design and manufacturing support, working closely with other disciplines in test, manufacturing, supply chain management and electronics.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

 

Application support of driveline systems for current product and new product development for Harvesting products:

  • Design models and perform performance evaluations in the virtual environment using various driveline design methods and software packages
  • Develop product cards to engage suppliers for systems and components
  • Support test activities for systems and components
  • Drive DFMEA and Design Reviews
  • Create models and drawings in Pro-E for mechanical parts and mechanical component assemblies.
  • Responsible to deliver 3D models and 2D drawings, taking into account CNHI design guidelines and international standards
  • Follow CNHI process for drawing releases, ECO/ECR release
  • Support resolution of Current Products issues and cost reduction activities
  • Position Pays $71,000 to $102,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with emphasis in mechanical, and/or agricultural or some professional experience to supplement a non-related B.S. degree
  • 3 plus years relevant experience in driveline or powertrain design.
  • 1 plus years of experience in the utilization of CAD systems
  • 1 plus years of experience in the development of mechanical driveline systems and components including major castings, minor castings, transmission shafts, transmission clutches, brake systems, lubrication systems and involvement with the selection of gears and bearings.
  • 1 plus years of experience in complex tolerance stackup analysis

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in the management of project teams and coordinating activities, especially with off site or offshore scenarios
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in new global processes and systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in driveline modeling methods and software
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) issues, problems, and observations of work being performed
