Responsibilities

As a Test Engineer II you will develop, maintain, and update test standards and test equipment for new or enhanced products. Execute testing to demonstrate quality of the division’s products. Primary focus will be Precision Technology as it relates to Crop Harvesting equipment.

  • This position is eligible for a flexible hybrid work model.  Ideal candidates will be located in or near New Holland, PA.
  • Develop test requirements, based on specifications, standard procedures, and internal/external requirements. Develop test plans and procedures.
  • Execute and document tests.
  • Identify and recommend test equipment, production equipment, fixturing, or tooling needed to meet product specifications.
  • Develop and deploy new test equipment and procedures.
  • Train team members on utilization of test equipment and procedures.
  • Prepare reports of testing data, evaluate, and provide recommendations based on findings. Lead or contribute input for improvements.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in the fields of engineering design, methods, and applications.
  • May assist with the request for quote process, as related to needs for the testing function.
  • Demonstrates support for company culture in their daily actions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
  • Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.

Position Pays $76,000 to $109,000. This position is eligible for the company bonus plan (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

  • Engineer with 2+ years of career experience, with Bachelors' degree. 1+ years experience with Master's degree. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10-20% travel

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Industry knowledge in farming applications, agronomic practices, and general farm machinery operation.
  • Knowledge of Crop Harvesting products and end user applications.
  • Aptitude to recognize roadblocks and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ability to break down complex tasks or requirements into simpler more manageable tasks.
  • Independent and collaborative thinking is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross discipline teams as well as being a strong individual contributor.
  • High level of service skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques is preferred.
  • Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Proficiency with a computer, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and leadership staff.
