Responsibilities

Duties: The Staff Design Analysis and Simulation Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Scottsdale, AZ will utilize mechanical engineering expertise to work on thermal and structural design and simulation of vehicle and precision hardware products, such as but not limited to ECUs, Displays, Joysticks, and Clusters. Provide guidance to the mechanical and electrical design engineers on mechanical design optimization for hardware cooling methods, component placement on board, enclosure and internal material selection, stress analysis while using Finite Element Analysis (“FEA”) and Computation Fluid Dynamics (“CFD”). Apply new thermal materials and cooling solutions that enable CNH Industries to design products that can clearly stand out in the agriculture and construction market. Perform thermal, structural, and material design, development and evaluation of vehicle and precision electronics products, assemblies, systems, and processes from concept through production stage. Perform platform system level and detailed unit level thermal analysis on electronic assemblies by using classical hand calculations and computer models using heat transfer and modern CFD simulation techniques. Run product and system level thermal modeling and simulation. Create company standards for analysis techniques. Run structural analysis and design of products and system installations. Perform explicit dynamics/impact analysis to simulate material damage. Acquire and analyze field data, such as temperature, vibration, shock, and humidity. Present analysis, advanced materials and new product design proposals to management and executives.  Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week. Salary: $109,000 to $167,000/year.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a directly related field, plus two years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer or a related occupation. The two years of experience must include two years of experience with each of the following: (1) CFD or FEA simulation and analysis; (2) Thermal management; (3) Optimization of mechanical design using ANSYS simulation suite; and (4) Preparing and presenting reports to internal management and stakeholders.
