The Field Credit Specialist - Southeast US is responsible for managing the core floor planning activities and risks of an assigned dealer portfolio including specialized management of certain workout accounts. In addition to completing & coordinating floorplan inventory audits for large multi-location CNHI Dealers, core responsibilities include facilitating improvement of a dealer's operational or financial weakness for future sustainability, inventory order management, controlling the day to day activity of a dealership and in some cases a retail end-user customer and minimizing a dealer’s risk to our CNHI Capital Commercial Lending portfolio. The FCS will provide assistance to the other CNHI Capital departments including Retail Operations and Asset Remarketing.  The individual will be working closely with our CNHI brand counterparts on order approvals, inventory management and developing action plans for the dealer to follow that ensure a positive outcome for all parties. The FCS will be required to provide detailed status updates to management, which may include determining the rational outcome of a dealer’s short and long sustainability within the CNHI network.

Responsibilities

  • Protect company assets through managing an assigned dealer territory. Including the management of a dealer’s: credit lines, daily operations, inventory management, financial analysis, cash flows, and modifying dealer behavior in order to mitigate risk for CNH Industrial Capital.
  • Ensure CNH Industrial Capital’s loan collateral is maintained via a perfected security interest and ensuring the value of equipment financed is appropriate
  • Provide operational and financial coaching to dealers by assisting them with the development and implementation of an action plan to resolve short-term deficiencies while obtaining long-term sustainability
  • Conduct inventory audits per CNH Industrial and CNH Industrial Capital's policies and procedures ensuring appropriate actions are-taken to mitigate risk including collection, the charging of fees, restricting dealer lines of credit and approving equipment & parts orders. Recommend and implement a reduction, or termination of credit lines based on the Dealer's ability and or willingness to pay.
  • Propose and establish adequate reserves for dealers with an estimated risk of loss in excess of $250K
  • Work with the Brand to determine dealer's financial growth potential with a minimal risk of loss
  • Resolve weaknesses in the dealer's financial condition, management skills and work to improve performance by communicating closely with the Dealer, Brand, Parts, Network Development, other CNH Industrial Capital Departments and outside institutions
  • Coordinate with the Brand partners and Legal in the closing and the liquidation collateral in order to maximize value on terminated dealer accounts. Facilitate dealer terminations and litigations to minimize risk and loss to the company
  • Resolve issues with the Brand Counterparts, on items related to the Wholesale financing of CNHI products
  • Provide assistance to Operations and Underwriting in order to minimize overall risk to the company
  • Conduct collateral valuations for various uses including but not limited too wholesale terminations, retail repossessions, setting corporate reserves, liquidation and litigation etc.
  • Coordinate with third party auctioneers, brokers and others in order to maximize the recovery on repossessed assets, and in certain cases existing dealer inventories to mitigate losses.
  • On the accounts that are assigned to the FCS, perform all of the required tasks of a Portfolio Manager
  • Lead and /or participate on projects within Commercial Lending and CNH Industrial as a whole that may impact the creation or utilization of new technology, efficiency, profitability, and the customer experience. 
  • Manage and develop new CNHI dealer accounts including providing onsite training of dealership personnel. Closely monitor new dealer performance in a variety of areas in an effort to ensure dealer success.
  • Provide systems training to new and existing CNHI dealership personnel
  • Position requires extensive travel 30-60%

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years' experience in credit/banking and/or commercial credit
  • 1+ year experience in the equipment financing industry required, with knowledge and understanding of the dealer distribution channels

The ideal candidate will have:

  • CPA or similar skillset
  • Demonstrated solid financial analysis skills required, with financial statement interpretation
  • Brand, portfolio management, or audit experience
  • Demonstrated PC skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint or equivalent software
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in managing a customer relationship from sales, underwriting, and portfolio management perspective will be very beneficial
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or Agri-Business preferred
