Responsibilities

  • Help drive the discovery, development, refinement, improvement, and commercialization of new and the improvement of existing Real-time kinematic positioning (RTK), precision point positioning (PPP), precision point positioning with ambiguity resolution (PPP-AR), as well as other ionosphere-free solutions on both the server-side and the receiver-side that improve transceiver signal reception, processing, ambiguity resolution, slip detection, and tracking of satellite-based augmentation systems (SBAS) for multi-frequency/multi-constellation GNSS-based (including GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou (COMPASS), Galileo) precision positioning and navigation capable of sub-centimeter level positioning accuracy.
  • Analyze and develop updates and corrections to Real-time kinematic positioning (RTK) and precision point positioning (PPP) algorithms utilized by Hemisphere GNSS Group software to resolve precision positioning issues reported by customers.
  • Research and develop GNSS PPP with Ambiguity Resolution (“PPP-AR”) methods to resolve carrier phase ambiguities at the satellite single level that can be generated real-time and transmitted to GNSS receivers in order to provide superior precision capabilities in highly kinematic applications.
  • Design, develop, and implement new software applications and features capable of processing BeiDou Navigation Satellite System phase-3 (“BDS-3”) signals together with BDS legacy signals (B1C, B2a and B3I) for precision positioning.
  • Design, develop, and implement new open access GNSS PPP services such as B2BPPP, Galileo High Accuracy Service (HAS), and QZSS Centimeter Level Augmentation Service (CLAS) and Multi-GNSS Advanced Orbit and Clock Augmentation – Precise Point Positioning (MADOCA-PPP).
  • Support Atlas® service operation team for new server-side features and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a regression system to monitor daily global navigation satellite system (GNSS) performance of the Hemisphere GNSS Group’s products using MATLAB.
  • Develop and maintain daily Atlas® correction analysis report using MATLAB.
  • Develop and maintain Atlas® operation real-time monitor and control system using Python.
  • Develop and maintain postprocessing program of both receiver data and server data.
