Summary

We are currently seeking a Customs Operations Analyst to join our team in Racine, WI. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting logistics operations while collaborating closely with our trade compliance team. You will ensure the timely and accurate movement of CNH import and export shipments by gathering, verifying, and managing essential documentation.

 

The Customs Operations Analyst will also address and resolve operational issues that go beyond the scope of the logistics and trade compliance teams. Acting as a key liaison between these teams, you will support smooth and compliant shipment flows. Additionally, you will review KPIs, work proactively to meet and improve performance targets, and maintain SOPs related to managing documentation processes.

 

Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Gather, review, and maintain accurate import and export documentation to support logistics and trade compliance requirements, ensuring records are well-organized and accessible for internal reviews and audits.
  • Support broker request tickets and work to resolve in-transit issues quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal delays and accurate clearance.
  • Act as a key contact for customs brokers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Investigate, resolve, and communicate operational issues affecting logistics flows, collaborating with logistics and trade compliance teams to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Support logistics in maintaining timely and compliant shipments, coordinating with other departments to streamline processes.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for documentation management processes to ensure consistent and compliant practices.
  • Stay updated on logistics processes and work closely with trade compliance to ensure any regulatory updates are communicated effectively to relevant teams.
  • Track and support post-entry processes, such as corrections and duty refunds, in coordination with the trade compliance team.

**The annual salary for this role is $63,000 - $92,400 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

 

Qualifications

 

The qualified candidate will have:

Bachelor’s degree with (3) years’ experience or High School Diploma with at least seven (7) years of customs operations, import/export regulations, or logistics.

The ideal candidate will have:

Proficiency in Microsoft office suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and SharePoint. Experience with Power BI or ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) is a plus.

Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, incoterms, and trade documentation.

Previous experience in data entry preferably in Customs Entry or Supply Chain.

Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and/or government agencies such as CBP and USDA is a plus.
